MIAMI, FL (September 26, 2023) -Fundación Con Cora, the foundation of global artist Karol G, announced the creation of Casa Con Cora, a new initiative aligned with its mission to empower women in vulnerable situations. The non-profit organization was born two years ago to continue the social work and mission of its founder, Karol G.
Casa Con Cora will be based in Medellín, Colombia, and will offer women a safe space dedicated to fostering personal, professional, artistic, and creative development while providing them with essential psychological and legal support.
Since its creation at the end of 2021, the Con Cora Foundation has been focused on creating and supporting projects aimed at women's empowerment that are sustainable over time. The foundation's three lines of action include:
Con Cora Scholarships: Financial support for higher education for low-income women, including single mothers, women deprived of liberty, post-sentenced women, or relatives of women deprived of freedom.
Investment in educational institutions: Finance the creation of training and artistic spaces to guarantee quality education for vulnerable communities.
Arte Con Cora: Artistic tattoo workshops for vulnerable women to bring them closer to job opportunities. Also, professional makeup workshops for women with cancer seeking to strengthen self-esteem and reconciliation with femininity.
In addition to its three lines of action, Fundación Con Cora has promoted projects supporting women's sports, Latino culture, and girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) areas. Founder Karol G will receive the prestigious Spirit of Hope Award at the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2023 on October 5 for the foundation's impact since its inception.

MIAMI, FL (26 de septiembre de 2023) - Fundación Con Cora, la fundación de la artista global Karol G, anunció la creación de Casa Con Cora, una nueva iniciativa alineada con su misión de empoderar a las mujeres en situaciones de vulnerabilidad. La organización sin fines de lucro nació hace dos años para continuar la labor social y misión de su fundadora, Karol G.
Casa Con Cora tendrá sede en Medellín, Colombia y ofrecerá a las mujeres un espacio seguro dedicado fomentar el desarrollo personal, profesional, artístico y creativo, al tiempo que les proporcionará apoyo psicológico y jurídico esencial.
Desde su creación a finales del 2021, la Fundación Con Cora está enfocada en crear y apoyar proyectos dirigidos al empoderamiento de la mujer que sean sostenibles en el tiempo. Las tres líneas de acción de la fundación incluyen:
Becas Con Cora: Apoyo financiero para estudios superiores a mujeres de escasos recursos, incluyendo a madres solteras, mujeres privadas de libertad, pospenadas o familiares de mujeres privadas de libertad.
Inversión en instituciones educativas: Financiamiento de creación de espacios formativos y artísticos para garantizar educación de calidad a comunidades vulnerables.
Arte Con Cora: Talleres artísticos de tatuaje dirigidos a mujeres vulnerables, con el propósito de acercarlas a oportunidades laborales. También, talleres de maquillaje profesional para mujeres con cáncer, buscando fortalecer la autoestima y la reconciliación con la feminidad.
Además de sus tres líneas de acción, Fundación Con Cora ha impulsado proyectos en apoyo al deporte femenino, la cultura latina y a niñas en áreas STEM (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas, por sus siglas en inglés). Por el impacto que ha causado desde su creación, su fundadora, Karol G, recibirá el prestigioso Premio Espíritu de Esperanza en los Premios Billboard de la Música Latina 2023 el 5 de octubre.
